Born in Lugo in 1997. He started his musical studies at the age of 8 in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música Cristóbal Halfter” in Ponferrada. Nowadays he is doing his sixth Semester of Bachelor of Music in the “Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln” with the professors Bram van Sambeek, Simon van Holen and Georg Klütsch. He was also taught in bassoon and contrabassoon by the masters Vincenzo Menghini, who was first bassoon in Teatro alla Scala di Milano for many years and also in the Orquestra Nazionale della R.A.I. de Torino, and Steve Harriswangler, who plays as first bassoon in the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia. He also attended masterclasses with internationally renowned masters, like Higinio Arrúe, Sergio Azzolini, Bence Bogányi, Ole Kristian Dahl, Giorgio Mandolesi, Gustavo Núñez, Guillaume Santana, etc. He has also collaborated with many Spanish youth orchestras, especially with the Orquesta Joven de la Sinfónica de Galicia (OJSG), and also with many professional orchestras like the Orquesta Clásica de Asturias, Orquesta Sinfónica Ciudad de León “Odón Alonso”, Kirchenchor und Orchester St. Matthäus Alfter, Duisburger Philharmoniker and especially with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia (OSG), participating with this orchestra in the Abu Dhabi Classics Festival 2015-16. He was also selected to be reserve bassoon of the Verbier Festival Orchestra during the year 2017. He was conducted under these orchestras by internationally recognised conductors like Dima Slobodeniouk, Pietro Rizzo, James Ross, Alberto Zedda, Yuri Nasushkin, Krzysztof Penderecki, etc. He has taken part in many chamber music groups in festivals like MusikaMúsica or Festival Internacional Peregrinos Musicales. As a soloist, he played in the Konturen Internacional Festival 2015 (Brühl, Alemania) and in the cycle “Son Futuras Promesas” (La Coruña), where he performed the piece “Trittico” by V. Menghini for the first time. It’s also remarkable the honorable mention that he obtained in the competition of the Letní Fagotova Akademie (LFA) in Czech Republic in 2016. Really linked to Asturias and particularly to his west region due to familiar reasons, he often also collaborates with the choir “Las Almenas” of Puerto de Vega.
